Lowe’s is opening five locations this year in three states that will feature the company’s new showroom design, the home improvement chain announced this week.
The five new stores will be in Texas, Kentucky and Florida, according to a news release emailed to USA TODAY.
Based in Mooresville, North Carolina, Lowe’s has over 1,750 home improvement stores, 540 branches, and 120 distribution centers. Most of the company’s stores are in Texas and Florida.
The company said Lowe’s “continues to advance its total home strategy in rapidly growing markets,” and added that the brand saw a 1.3% increase in comparable store sales for its fourth quarter of 2025.
Where Are Lowe’s Stores Opening in 2026?
According to information gathered from Lowe’s and the company’s website, the following stores will open in 2026:

What Can Customers Expect in the New Stores?
The first store to open this year will be in Port St. Lucie, Florida, marking the brand’s 133rd store in the Sunshine State. It’ll be the second Lowe’s in the city. The location will include a new showroom design with digital signage displaying promotional offerings, more interactive product displays and new countertop experiences with larger slabs for customers to see unique veining and variation.
“Port St. Lucie is growing rapidly, and we’re excited to support our neighbors and local businesses with everything they need for projects big and small,” District Manager Christian Redman said in the news release. “This store is built to deliver the value, convenience and service our community expects from Lowe’s.”
It is the first of five new Lowe’s stores opening nationwide this year, and will have a redesigned kitchen and appliance showroom.
Some new features Lowe’s announced include:
- Centralized selling desks for installation and service projects, with digital signage showcasing promotional offerings.
- Product displays with vignettes for areas across the house.
- Signage and QR codes that will allow customers to access online offerings.
- Links to tools including a style quiz, budget calculator and 3D visualizer.
- Self-service paint kiosks for streamlined paint ordering.
- Buy Online Pick Up In-Store (BOPIS) Zones for quick pickup.
The remaining four Lowe’s stores opening this year will also feature this new showroom design, and a limited number of existing Lowe’s stores will be upgraded with the new design this year as well, Lowe’s said in the news release.
